Your data belongs to you
We do not use customer content to train our models without your explicit permission. You own your data—export it or delete it at any time. Your uploaded files, conversations, and knowledge base content remain yours.
Security & compliance status

We never sell your uploads, never use them to train shared models, and never show them to anyone outside your account.
Encryption in transit
All traffic between your browser and Cognia AI is encrypted using TLS 1.3.
Encryption at rest
Your uploaded lectures, PDFs, notes and account data are encrypted at rest using AES-256.
Stripe handles billing
Cognia AI never sees your card details. All payment information is processed by Stripe under PCI DSS Level 1 controls.
No third-party tracking
We do not run third-party analytics, advertising pixels, or behavioural tracking on the marketing site or in the app.
Export and delete anytime
You can export every subject and its material from account settings, and delete your account in one click. Deletion is permanent.

See provider policies
Your knowledge base files are stored and indexed in Cognia AI's infrastructure. When you chat, relevant context is sent to the selected AI model for response generation. Each AI provider has their own data handling policies.
Model provider policies
When you send messages to AI models, those messages are processed by the respective providers. We encourage you to review their individual data policies.
OpenAI
API customer content is not used to train OpenAI models. Cognia AI accesses OpenAI via the API.
Anthropic
API inputs and outputs are not used to train Anthropic models. Cognia AI accesses Anthropic via the API.
Google (Gemini)
Cloud / API customer data is not used to train Google's foundation models. Cognia AI accesses Gemini via the API.
